The Training Institute is delighted to announce the training of no less than eleven new Animators. This brings the total number trained to sixteen. This total also includes six members of Lights of Unity. Lets make use of their skills and abundant energy while we can.
The intensive programme of training beginning Saturday 4 March, and ending 12th March, was ably conducted by Sarah Munro. Sarah has first hand experience conducting Junior Youth courses in England and was able to pass on to all present the benefit of her knowledge and expertise in this area. The fact that she gave up nine full days out her busy schedule to come to Northern Ireland is greatly appreciated. The course encapsulated insights into Junior Youth as a particularly receptive population, ample opportunities to develop lessons focusing on all three of the books in this sequence and considerable artistic input.
In spite of the inclement weather conditions and the lack of tea breaks, owing to the fast, a good time was had by all. The Institute would like to thank all those generous souls who provided food (namely, Denis, Hushang and Brian) and transport (Darragh and Wendy).
It is hoped that soon all Clusters will be self-sufficient and will have at least two or three Animators indigenous to their area that they can call upon. Anyone who has completed Book 4 and is interested in pursuing this extremely worthy path of service and becoming a trained Animator should contact the Junior Youth Co-ordinator.
Ideally Animators should be older youth, but no enthusiastic soul will be turned away.
Breezes of Confirmation (for ages 11 to 12 years)
Walking the Straight Path (for ages 13 to 14 years)
Drawing on the Power of the Word (for ages 14 to 15 years)
Now you can initiate a Junior Youth course in your area in three simple steps:
The Universal House of Justice now recommends that the books of the Ruhi Institute should constitute the main sequence of courses for institutes everywhere.
Book 5 (Change in numbering) The Ruhi Book Teaching Childrens Class Grade 2, formerly known as Book 5, will now be a branch course from Book 3, and will no longer be known as Book 5. This book will now be for those interested in teaching children, following on from Book 3.
The new Book 5, yet to be released, will be for raising up animators of junior youth groups.
New Book 8 (not yet released) This book will initiate a series concerned with the institutional aspects of service to the case, addressing the Covenant.
