History Conference, October 2008, Drogheda

Following suggestions at previous ABS events, a 1-day ABS history conference will be held at the Bahá'í Centre in Drogheda on a Saturday in October 2008. It will feature talks on the local and national history of the Bahá'í Faith in Ireland, and on the importance of archives for the future of the Faith. The ABS Committee would encourage the Friends to examine the history of their own communities and to develop a short presentation if they can. A talk on the history of the Faith at national or at all Ireland level would be particularly appreciated. If you are interested, please contact Kevin Brogan by 31 August 2008. Details of the conference will be advertised later.

UNIT CONVENTIONS

The National Spiritual Assembly has announced that Unit Conventions for 2008 will be held over the weekend 6—7 December. This may seem a long way off but the Bahá'í Council asks that you mark the dates in your diaries now—and we are all asked to avoid arranging events on that weekend that could clash with the Unit Conventions and reduce attendance.

DEVOTIONALS IN DERRY

Every Sunday morning, 11 am, in the Bahá'í Centre, 5 Clarendon Street.
