“We, verily, have made music as a ladder for your souls, a means whereby they may be lifted up unto the realm on high…” (Bahá'u'lláh, The Kitáb-i-Aqdas, page: 38)

EXCITING DEVELOPMENT IN INTER-FAITH

The Northern Ireland Inter-Faith Forum was formed in 1993, with the aims of promoting mutual understanding between different faith traditions, and educating people in NI that we are not a country of two traditions only, but a vibrant community of many faiths whose people come from varied religious and ethnic backgrounds. Bahá'ís have played a significant part in supporting the Inter-Faith Forum and helping it work towards its aims.

Now Bahá'ís are involved in an exciting new development that will establish grass-roots inter-faith work and dialogue West of the Bann. A new body, Inter-Faith North/West, is being established and is holding its first open meeting on Tuesday 18 November in The Junction, Bishop Street, Londonderry, starting at 7 pm. We hope that Bahá'ís from the area, and indeed further afield, will show their support by coming to this meeting and getting involved with the new body.

UNIT CONVENTIONS

The National Spiritual Assembly has announced that Unit Conventions for 2008 will be held over the weekend 6—7 December. This may seem a long way off but the Bahá'í Council asks that you mark the dates in your diaries now—and we are all asked to avoid arranging events on that weekend that could clash with the Unit Conventions and reduce attendance.

DEVOTIONALS IN DERRY

Every Sunday morning, 11 am, in the Bahá'í Centre, 5 Clarendon Street.
