NORTHERN LIGHTS CLUSTER

Clister Reflection Meeting

Merville House, Newtownabby Merville House, Newtownabby

Three months since the beginning of the last intensive programme of growth cycle, around 40 friends gathered together at the reflection meeting to share their learning’s, reflect and make plans for the next three months.

The day began with an uplifting devotional. Each cluster coordinator followed by the friends shared the developments (both successes and challenges) of that core activity in the cluster. This serious reflection was intersected by some singing and a collaborate game. The friends then divided themselves into their communities and made their plans for the next three month cycle.

The suggested goals by the Area Teaching Committee for the upcoming cycle were to:

  • Increase the number of Junior Youth Groups
  • Increase the number of Children's Classes
  • Encourage and accompany people to home visit the members of their community of interest
  • Neighbourhood activities
  • Mobilising resources.

The sharing of the learning will be with you in the next issue of CommuNIqué. The day ended with a 30 minute devotional in the honour of the imprisoned friends in Iran.

SEVEN VALLEYS CLUSTER

Cluster Reflection Meeting

University of Ulster, Coleraine The University of Ulster at Coleraine

The reflection meeting at the end of the eighth cycle (second as an IPG) was held in the Link Lounge at the University of Ulster in Coleraine on Sunday, 31 January 2010.

Eighteen of the friends in the cluster attended. The presence of Auxiliary Board member, Mathew Kennedy was a great source of encouragement and guidance throughout. His contributions helped to widen our vision with regard to the ongoing development of the growth process in the cluster. Setting the scene for group discussion was study of passages in relation to direct teaching in both an individual and collective context.

The two objectives consulted on and agreed in the plenary session were as follows:

  • Setting a definite launch of the expansion phase on Sat 6th February with a gathering of preparation and supplication for divine confirmations to accompany our efforts.
  • A further gathering will bring the friends together to share experiences and reflect upon what to concentrate on during the consolidation phase; increasing the number of home visits in the coming cycle as a significant means of initiating and consolidating the outreach, both to seekers and to our fellow Bahá'í’s – a step forward in fostering home visits a real part of our Bahá'í culture.

The sharing of the learning will be with you in the next issue of CommuNIqué.
