Bahá’í Journal UK on the Web

The National Spiritual Assembly is pleased to announce that its magazine Bahá’í Journal UK is now available on the Web in a new format and at a new domain. It is open to all and can be visited at www.bahaijournal.org.uk

Bahá'ís and Wills

In the Kitáb-i-Aqdas Baha'u'lláh states “Unto everyone hath been enjoined the writing of a will". [p 59] The legal advisor to the National Spiritual Assembly has prepared two documents which will help the Friends in meeting this spiritual obligation, "Some Notes on Bahá'í Wills" and "Some Notes For Solicitors Preparing Wills For Members of the Bahá'í Faith". The former sets out some of the things that make a Bahá'í will special, the latter is for them to share with the solicitor who is drawing up their will to explain the points.

Please note that neither of these is a guide to drawing up a will in general, something that should be left to the professionals, they are explanations of specifically Bahá’í requirements.

The National Assembly has asked the Bahá’í Information Office to store and distribute these documents on its behalf. They are available on request from BIO at bio@bahai.org.uk, electronically in RTF or PDF format (please specify which) or in hard copy from .Bahá’í Information Office, Third Floor, Bridge House, 97-101 High Street, TONBRIDGE, Kent, TN9 1DR.

Show-on-the Go now available

The fourth item in BIO's distance-training series Show-on-the-Go is available. Its subject is THE JOURNALIST and we are sure it will help communities and Bahá’í organisations in understanding and dealing with the press.

It consists of two floppy disks of software which when installed on a PC (Windows 95 or NT4) will produce a presentation on the subject

without there being any need for having PowerPoint or a similar programme already installed. Along with the disks comes the hard copy document which should be studied along with the computer presentation.

Show-on-the-Go is suitable for individual and small-group study.

To obtain your disks and document please send your postal address to the Bahá’í Information Office, Third Floor, Bridge House, 97-101 High Street, Tonbridge, Kent, TN91DR
