UNIQUE BOUNTY FOR

George Fleming and Marion Khosravi recently had the wonderful bounty of attending the Official Opening of the Terraces in Haifa, Israel. We would love to share a taste of this with the friends in Northern Ireland . Indeed both Hands of the Cause Mr Ali Muhammad Varqa and Mr. Furutan encouraged those present to take home the spirit and atmosphere of the historical events and to share them with the friends.
"Please ask us to come and visit your community. We have already been to a few and for us every time we talk about our experiences it’s as if the significance of the event grows.
It is very difficult to put in a few words all that happened. During those special days it was as if life was a sea of colour….the colour of the people, of the different national costumes, of the gardens, of the music from all over the world… We were looked after by the World Centre staff with the utmost love and hospitality. They catered for our every need from food and water to transport, to rest rooms. Other images are easily recalled; Bahji and its peaceful and tranquil surroundings; the Shrine of the Báb; the Israeli Orchestra and the singers; violinists playing in the dusk of the evening; the lights of the terraces coming on one by one; the African Congo choir; the wonderful music and chanting of prayers; the World Centre choir one of whom was our own Kerry Whiteside; meeting old friends and making new ones……..the images are endless."
