Message from the Bahá'í Council for Northern Ireland

Dearest friends,

Recently the Council made a decision to have all Clusters functioning by the middle of November. This is a three month goal. Indeed the Council intends to set goals for short periods of time and encourages all clusters to do so as well, as indicated in the 9th- January Letter.

With the call for a pioneer raised at Summer School for the one virgin cluster, in the Clougher Valley, we have twelve of the thirteen to launch before our Celebration in November. Some of you may be already aware that three are indeed up-and-running – namely – Causeway, Strule Valley and Slemish and the Glens. These titles are ‘working’ titles that may be reconsidered by the clusters. The remaining nine launch meetings will occur over the next couple of months.

The Council would like to request that all Cluster lead Assemblies or Groups send a report to the Council by Friday 16th November at the latest. There is great excitement at the launch of these historic new ‘creations’ and we pray ardently for their progress and close working relations which are developing with the Auxiliary Board Members, their Assistants and the Training Institute. We hope to hear soon of even small victories as goals are set and won.

SUMMER SCHOOL

This year the Northern Ireland Summer School was particularly good, as all who attended will testify. Accommodation was full, sessions were well attended, the Tranquility Zone was well used, the Youth and Junior Youth as well as the younger children were fully participating in the programme of the school. Meantime the inspiration gained will no doubt move us all during the coming months as the progress of the Cause begins to accelerate.

ELECTION OF COUNCIL

Ballot papers will shortly be distributed to all Spiritual Assemblies. These must be returned by 13th November and the result will be announced at the Celebration.

With deepest love,

BAHÁ’Í COUNCIL FOR NORTHERN IRELAND
