Message from the Bahá'í Council for
Northern Ireland
Dear Bahá'í Friends,
At its recent meeting the Bahá'í Council was able to review
the whole process of action and development which we have all gone through in
the last year or so. We were happy to have both our Auxiliary Board Members,
Mrs Anne O'Sullivan and Mr. Denis Coyle, share their thoughts and wisdom with
us. We also had a very valuable consultation with Mr. Dion Azordegan from the
European Bahá'í Youth Council.
Friends, we would like to offer our profound admiration to the entire
community which has gone through, undoubtedly, the most difficult time of
change and challenge in the entire history of the Faith in Northern Ireland
stretching back to the early part of the last century. Your total faith in the
guidance of the Universal House of Justice has been exceptional - in response
to the 9th January letter of last year bringing into creation the clustering
process now completed. Not only that, but to have been challenged by the
changes in boundaries advised by the House of Justice and the profound effects
this has temporarily caused and to have born these with courage and
determination is truly amazing.
Only time will tell just what a glorious victory we have all won. And we are
still in this process of change. The great sacrifices, the persistent attempts
of adults and youth alike in striving to understand all the implications of
these changes have boosted our spiritual potential to new heights.
Friends, we could only have come through this whole process together because
of our allegiance to Bahá'u'lláh, Whose continous divine
guidance is received through our Beloved Universal House of Justice. Our
hearts and our prayers go out to you all in grateful thanks for the
steadfastness of the entire community throughout this time of confusion and
change. We now turn to the future and will begin to see the fruits from this
intensive period of change.
With deepest love,
THE BAHÁ'Í COUNCIL FOR NORTHERN IRELAND.
