THEGARDEN OF RIDVÁN
Amid grief and lamentation
Bahá'u'lláh turned away from man
To be alone and hear God speak
In the Garden of Ridván
He chose to be amid God's beauty
Where all things grew according to plan
Their glory showed God's loving kindness
In the Garden of Ridván
He smiled to hear the nightingale's song,
He breathed the roses scent so wan,
He knew His sojourn wouldn't be long
In the Garden of Ridván
Through suffering, pain and hate in measure
Bahá'u'lláh stayed the course he planned,
He left behind His words to treasure
From the Garden of Ridván
On a tall red steed He took his leave
Riding through multitudes of man
His heart was sad that they should grieve
In the Garden of Ridván
