Pippa Cookson e-mails from Macedonia

Dear friends in NI,

I think I've told you that I go for two days a week from Bitola to Ohrid, to support Neysan Donnelly who is a YOS volunteer there. Neysan is going to university in Aberdeen next term, and will probably leave some time in June. Ohrid gets a fair number of travel-teachers, but really needs a pioneer to be there all the time, as an anchor person. There are several Baha'is, very mixed - two Macedonians, two Albanians, a Roma and a Turk - an excellent sample of Macedonia's fascinating ethnic diversity. Ohrid is a beautiful place, on the edge of this wonderful large lake surrounded by mountains. Macedonia is just slightly larger than NI- it's small enough to be homely - in fact, it already feels like home to me. So is there anyone out there who could take over where Neysan left off? I'd come over regularly to support you too! If there's anyone interested, you could come over for a summer holiday, like I did- Ohrid is ideal for summer holidays! Think about it!

Love to all, Pippa: pippa_cookson@yahoo.co.uk
