This interesting book is divided into three parts. The first sets out The Qualities of Love and the second, To Live in Love, deals with what might be called the worldly implications of love in the working out of Bahá'í principles and activities. In this the author is sharing his own understanding but this is not just off the top of my head stuff, he quotes extensively from the Writings. The third section gives detailed spiritual exercises not something often encountered in Bahá'í books although known in other religious traditions. For these the author makes it clear, of course, that they are his suggestions and should not be thought of as prescriptive or binding on others. Nonetheless he believes they help the individual to develop spiritually and so he offers them in a spirit of sharing. He offers them as a resource that can help our spiritual development: many will find them useful in this.
