TRAINING INSTITUTE NEWS

New area coordinator for Seven Valleys Cluster (Cluster 6)

The Seven Valleys Cluster, as it has now been named at Cluster 6's reflection meeting in September, has now a new area coordinator. Kathleen Holmlund has been serving as the Area Coordinator for this cluster since the new clusters were announced last May, and before that in a slightly different geographic configuration. Kathleen has very ably put valuable time and effort in coordinating and promoting Study Circles in this area, and her services in this large cluster have helped move the cluster forward significantly. Not only has Kathleen been serving as an Area Coordinator, but she has been personally active as a tutor of many Study Circles in Northern Ireland - therefore, her valued services and dedicated efforts will be missed by the Training Institute process as a whole. As you may know Kathleen is moving to the USA. She will be sorely missed as a friend to many of us.

Navid Agahi was appointed as the new Area Coordinator for the Seven Valleys Cluster. Navid took up his post from 1st October 2004, and has already got stuck-in to his job. His contact details, which can also be found on the TI website, are shown below. Good luck Navid!

Junior Youth Courses

The Training Institute started planning the implementation of the Junior Youth courses in Northern Ireland last March, and Afnan was appointed in April to organize this implementation. Since then, the work has continued and is ongoing, with training of the Junior Youth Animators taking place at the end of October. The Junior Youth courses will begin operating in November.

There are three books available in the sequence for the JY at present: 1. Breezes of Confirmation (for 11-12 year olds) 2. Walking the Straight Path (for 12-13 year olds) 3. Drawing on the Power of the Word of God (for 14-15 year olds) The first two courses have been organized, and the Junior Youth have been invited to attend by the Training Institute Board.
