“The movement itself……….”

When you think about Travel Teaching, what do you imagine it is? Taking some of your holidays and flying of to somewhere like Albania, Iceland, Russia or India? Could it be a trip to the islands off the coast of Scotland? Or could it be a trip by car round the communities in Southern Ireland? These are all wonderful aims to have, but they are not suitable for everybody.

One type of Travel Teaching that almost anybody can do is closer to home. Have you ever thought of taking a trip to visit an unopened district? You could say some prayers and you never know whom you might meet. You could visit an isolated believer or an elderly/housebound Bahá’í. Often they do not get to see Bahá’ís from other areas of Northern Ireland. A visitor could give them the encouragement to hold a fireside or even organise a teaching event.

“The movement itself from place to place, when undertaken for the sake of God, hath always exerted, and can now exert, its influence in the world.” Baha’u’llah: The Advent of Divine Justice. p.70
